There's No Place Like Home...

We had a wonderful trip back to Maryland. D had lots of work to do, but even he managed to squeeze in some fun! We celebrated a bunch of birthdays, applauded achievements, and spent quality time with family, friends, and former neighbors -- fantastic. And my doctor will be happy to know that I got lots of Vitamin D, spending time outside in the glorious sunshine!
Oh, I do miss Annapolis... D and I were sitting on the Naval Academy rock wall in the center of this picture, looking out at the Chesapeake Bay, when he proposed to me 24 years ago. Aww... We went out to dinner with Bob, Marie, and Randy. Bob made some new friends outside the restaurant... ...but ditched them to enjoy dinner with us! We saw a special Cub Scout ceremony... ...and celebrated a 9th birthday too.I think he liked his gift from his grandparents! We celebrated D's birthday too. Any excuse for cake and ice cream!
