Easter Road Trip, Stop 1: Bath

For the long Easter weekend, we thought a road trip was in order. Stop one, on Friday, was the town of Bath in Southwest England. I had been there before, when Maria visited in 2007. But D had never been. The city was first established as a spa resort by the Romans in 43 AD. They built baths and a temple around the only naturally occurring hot springs in the UK. The baths have been well preserved. In the late 1700's, Bath became popular as a spa resort. During that time, the town's many pretty Georgian buildings were constructed from creamy white Bath limestone. We walked around town: and toured the baths. Here's D, oblivious to the "Do Not Touch The Water" signs......but no worries; he didn't fall in!
