We spent last week back in Maryland, splitting our time once again between Baltimore (I never get tired of that view from my parent's place, as shown above), Howard County, and Annapolis. D had meetings all week long, but we both managed to spend quality time with our families and friends. Our youngest nephew was excited to show us the harvest from his garden:

We played the board game version of "Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader" -- with an actual fifth grader! (And he blew us away with what he knew!)

The big event of the trip was our oldest nephew's 10th birthday party. Here the birthday boy (on the right) is getting ready to blow out the candle inferno (the candles were a
little too close together and created quite a cauldron of fire.)

Steve & Maria sure know how to throw a party. I think that the adults had every bit as much fun as the kids! All four of our parents were there, as well as lots of other family and friends. It was a special treat to see Mike & Susan and their children -- including their new twin boys. Here I am, spending quality time with one of the boys...

And here's D spending quality time with both of the boys...!

(No children were injured in the staging of this photo -- honest!) While we were back, I also squeezed in a trip back to my old office to see lots of my buddies, and we had a great lunch with Bob & Marie in Annapolis. It was a whirlwind few days, but absolutely worth it.
