Ed and Lorna are in town. Yesterday, the four of us went on a muddy five-mile pub walk, culminating in a Sunday Roast lunch at the Royal Oak Pub. Before we began, Ed encountered this curious rooster:
We dodged the bullet literally and figuratively during this hike -- we encountered hunters, and we never got the anticipated rain showers. We did, however, hike through a lot of sloppy wooded trails and fields and our boots became caked in mud...
...and the only way to get rid of the mud was to splash in large puddles.
Although it has been very rainy lately (quelle surprise!), the temperatures have been mild. The daffodils are beginning to bloom here already -- hooray!
