Thanksgiving in Maryland

Thanksgiving 2007

We were grateful to be in Maryland for Thanksgiving with our family and friends this year. We continued our most important and long-standing Thanksgiving traditions -- spending Thanksgiving Day with both families at Steve & Maria's (as we have every year for nearly 15 years), and getting together with our great group of friends from UVa on the Saturday after the holiday. (It was a little shocking to be talking to the older children of our friends about their college plans -- is it even possible that Frank & Susan and Steve & Lesa have kids in 11th grade already?!? They are nearly as old as their fathers were when we met them -- Yikes!) We caught up with Ed & Lorna over lunch in Annapolis -- we've really missed having them close by in England. We even went to a Ravens game -- which gave us an opportunity to enjoy a tailgate with Jason & Lorie beforehand. We're back home in England now, but we haven't stopped reflecting on how very much we have to be thankful for.
