Stonehenge & Winchester

Yesterday Jackie, Jason & I visited Stonehenge, then stopped in Winchester for lunch and a quick tour of the Cathedral and the town. The weather alternated between beautiful blue skies and quick drenching downpours. And that was just as we walked the ring around Stonehenge! We got a little wet, but we saw a rainbow there that made it worth it.

On the way home, an odd-looking large gray bird stepped right out in front of my car as I drove along the winding, 2-lane A272 road. There was no "thump thump", so I'm choosing to believe that I missed it. But Jason might argue that point, as he says he saw it coming out from beneath the car and into the bushes at a rather high rate of speed. "Horsham Woman Kills Rare Albino Pheasant"?
