Jason & Jackie have arrived!

Jason & Jackie at Arundel Castle
Jason & Jackie arrived from Detroit yesterday morning -- looking chipper and full of energy! D (who had arrived from his week-long trip to North America just an hour earlier) and I kept them busy on their first day -- walking around Horsham, eating lunch at a local cafe, then touring Arundel Castle. Arundel Castle, set high on a hill not far from here, was built in the 11th Century. It has been, and remains, the ancestral home to the Dukes of Norfolk. The current Duke & Dutchess and their 5 children still live in the "family wing" of the castle...in fact, we saw one of the children riding a go-cart on the property while we were there. Pretty cool place to grow up! While there, we struck up a conversation with a docent who also happens to be an "under-butler" for the Duke. He told us that the Dutchess was a life-long friend of Diana, Princess of Wales, and that the Royal Family are frequent dinner guests at the Castle. Sadly, we weren't invited to stay for dinner, so we went to a local pub instead.

Stay tuned for more photos from Jason & Jackie's visit throughout the week!
