The 4th of July in England

Fourth of July in England
Our family joined us for our first 4th of July in England. They brought us flags and sparklers from home to help us celebrate. We spent the day at Windsor Castle, where one of the guards, with a twinkle in his eye, told the girls that the 4th of July was the day that England gained independence from the US. You'll see that we stopped into McDonalds in Windsor for a snack -- and that was the most "American" thing we did all day!

That evening, we went to a local Horsham pub for dinner. The owner sent us over a free bottle of champagne in honor of the 4th of July -- quite a nice gesture, coming from a Brit!
